The Board of Trustees of the Lakeville Public Library wishes to encourage the use of the meeting rooms for civic and educational (non-profit) purposes of benefit to the community. 


Community use for meetings must be requested in advance. Please download, print, fill out and return to the library the meeting room request form below.

The form must be filled out for all groups requesting the use of the Meeting Room, Local History Room and the Children's Program Room.


Generally, meeting rooms should be booked at least one month prior to the event, but no earlier than six months prior. 


Use of the two quiet rooms (for 4 - 6 people) may be reserved for up to two hours at a time, up to 2 weeks in advance, by calling the front desk at 508-947-9028.

Please download, print, fill out and return to the library the meeting room request form. The form must be filled out for all groups requesting the use of the Meeting Room, Local History Room and the Children's Program Room.


The form requires your signature, stating that you have read the policies and agree to comply with them. The person who signs the form will serve as our contact person for any questions we may have.  Once you have reserved the room by using the form, we will contact you via phone or email to confirm.

Note that we require a new form once each calendar year.

Because we cannot pay our staff overtime, please be sure to end your meeting or program in sufficient time for all attendees to leave the library promptly by closing time.


The Community Meeting Room seats up to 150 people, and includes 4 tables that may be used. There is a small kitchen off the Community Meeting Room with a sink and refrigerator.

The Local History Room will seat 8 people at a conference table, with perimeter seating to accommodate a total of 20 people. It is located to the right of the Circulation Desk.

The Children's Program Room is located at the back of the children's room. It has a vinyl floor, 6 tables and 24 chairs (child-size).

The Quiet Rooms are located near the adult fiction collection.  Each room contains 1 study table. One room seats 4 people and the other seats 6 people.
