How to Obtain a Library Card:

Library cards may be obtained by both residents and non-residents of Lakeville with current proof of residency. Children may register upon turning five years of age with a parent/guardian present. The first library card is fee; replacement costs $1.

Using Your Library Card at Another Library:
Many public libraries in Massachusetts will accept your SAILS library card. If not, they can give you a card for their library system if you present proper identification. You can return materials borrowed from this library to any SAILS library except museum passes which must be returned to the owning library.

Must have Library Card to check out materials:
Patrons must have a library card present to check out library materials and place holds.

Virtual Catalog:
If we don't own a copy of a desired item, it can be ordered through our automated library network. If no one within our system owns the item, you can go outside the system to other participating  networks and order the item through virtual catalog.
